Storytime

Metaknight is one of the main characters in many kirby games. Usually, he's featured in a boss fight, but ever since the release of "Kirby: nightmare in dreamland" in 2014 and some of the kirby games following, he could be a playable character. Sometimes he even teams up with kirby to save Dream Land. Meta knight's intentions are mostly good, but sometimes he goes overboard, which causes Kirby and him to fight, even though they're on the same team and don't actually want to destroy each other. Kirby and Metaknight have a hard time understanding each other sometimes, but they still work together.

My favorite Kirby game is Kirby Super Star Ultra, which was released in 2008. It was my first ever Kirby game, and I used to play it on my Nintendo DS lite. Meta knight was my favorite boss fight. He was always so mysterious to me, and I found it very interesting that when you beat him, his mask falls off, revealing a face that's much like Kirby's. I didn't put it together at first, but now I wonder if Dreamland represents Kirby's mind- a dream, and Meta Knight is just the 'dark' part of Kirby. We all have to get along with our 'shadow self'- the part of ourselves that we don't like and want to hide (hence the mask.) Even though we don't always agree with this part of ourselves, the shadow self doesn't have bad intentions. It can be hard to understand ourselves sometimes, and we have these battles in our heads about what to do in life when we're conflicted. In order to live a happy, fun, adventurous life, we must work together and love every part of ourselves.

This is why I think the message in Kirby games are very positive. Always try your best to work with yourself and others to achieve a brighter future!
